1. VEDANTA SocEITY OF JAPAN Golden Jubilee celebration

        OPENING CEREMONY on JUNE 14, 2009

Swami Vivekananda's 147th Birth Anniversary Celebration Program will be held on June 14, 2009, Sunday at the Indian Embassy Cultural Center Hall in Tokyo. This program is organized every year by Ramakrishna Mission, Zushi (Nippon Vedanta Society).

This will be the 16th year of celebration in Tokyo.

Nippon Vedanta Society will also conduct the opening Ceremony for their Golden Jubilee Celebration on this date. Nippon Vedanta Society was inaugurated in Japan in May, 1959  and celebrating its  50 years of services by an year long activities.

The June 14th program will be inaugurated by the Ambassador of India followed by speeches from eminent speakers. There will be a tea break after speeches and all guests will be served with light refreshments.

In the second half, there will be some cultural program  including Bharatnatyam dances. Also, there will be some exhibition of books, CDs, audio cassettes etc.

 5 minutes walk from  Kudanshita subway station, Exit-2,
 Hanzomon/Shinjuku/Tozai subway lines
 No parking is available in the Embassy premises, you can use the paid parking in the Yasukuni Shrine located opposite to Embassy.

* Entrance fee: None

You can also invite your Indian and Japanese friends, all are welcome. There is no entrance fee or ticket, just come and enjoy the program.
