BATJ Saraswati Puja will be celebrated on February 4, 2012, Saturday at the OTA BUNKANOMORI HALL in Ota-ku, Tokyo. See this link for access details.
Program & Other Details
Here are some changes and some additional information regarding the program.
A. This year, Puja will be performed by Swami Medhasananda-ji Maharaj. Our regular priest Sudeb Chattopadhyay lost his father and observing his mourning period, hence incapable of doing Puja this time. We requested Maharaj and he has kindly consented to perform our Saraswati Puja. Our member Anirban Mukherjee will assist Maharaj during the Puja. Anirban will also perform the Arati in the evening.
Maharaj has another important appointment in the afternoon and has to leave early. So, he will start the Puja at 11:00 AM instead of 11:30 AM as informed earlier. Please come early to see the Puja.
Accordingly, the PROGRAM timing is revised as given below.
B. This year, we have arranged a Magic Show for the children. Also, the adult can enjoy this show, It will be performed by Mr. Dave Letendre( Mr. D) who has been performing Magic Shows in Tokyo for long time,

C. Please send names of your children who want to perform in the children talent show. All children are welcome. For detail, see below.
D. You can invite your Japanese or other national friends but please register their names in advance by sending email to <batjapan@gmail.com>.
Per head charge is Yen 1,500 as indicated below.

You are requested to register your attendance before January 27, 2012 by sending a return email to <batjapan@gmail.com>.
Registration is necessary for all BATJ members and their guests.
Please inform number of persons including children in your reply mail.
We need a head count to arrange the food, hence your registration is absolutely essential.

5) CULTURAL PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN
During the cultural program on Saraswati Puja day, there will be a talent show by the children of our BATJ members, same as last year. If your child would like to perform in the show, please send an email to <batjapan@gmail.com> by January 27, 2012 giving name/age of your child and what he/she would like to perform. Due to time limitation, each child will have maximum 5 minutes for his/her performance.
